CineX-AI Community Guidelines
Effective Date: September 6, 2026
CineX-AI is a community for AI filmmaking — a place to share films, discover tools, follow filmmakers, and celebrate the medium together. These Community Guidelines explain what's expected of every member. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Be Respectful
Treat fellow members, filmmakers, and festival organizers with respect. When engaging with the community:
- critique work constructively, focusing on the film rather than the person;
- no harassment, hate speech, slurs, personal attacks, or threats;
- no doxxing — never share another member's private information;
- disagree about ideas and techniques, not about people.
2. Submit Work Honestly
CineX-AI exists to document AI filmmaking, so accuracy matters:
- only submit films you made or have permission to submit;
- credit the AI tools, cast, and crew truthfully — don't misrepresent how a work was made;
- don't submit work that deceptively impersonates real people or claims to be entirely AI-made when it isn't;
- respect festival eligibility rules — misrepresenting a film's provenance can get creators and festivals in trouble.
3. Keep Content Appropriate
Submitted films, posters, profiles, comments, and links must not contain:
- sexually explicit material involving minors, or any illegal content;
- graphic violence or shock content intended purely to disturb;
- hate speech, incitement to violence, or content promoting discrimination;
- malicious code, phishing links, or deceptive schemes;
- unauthorized commercial advertising or spam.
Films exploring difficult themes are welcome — that's what cinema is for — but context, intent, and honest labeling matter.
4. Rate and Review Fairly
Ratings and comments shape the Audience Choice section, so keep them honest:
- rate films on their merit — no vote manipulation, rating swaps, or coordinated campaigns;
- don't post spoiler-heavy comments without warning;
- don't use reviews to promote your own work or tear down competitors.
5. Protect the Community's Data
Profiles, filmographies, and saved libraries belong to the members who created them. Don't scrape the database, resell member data, or misrepresent your association with CineX-AI or its community.
6. Report Problems
If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, report it via the Contact page. Don't take matters into your own hands or retaliate — flag it and let our review team handle it.
7. Consequences
All submissions go through our 24-hour review process. Content or accounts that violate these guidelines may be:
- edited or removed from the database;
- rejected during the submission review window;
- subject to warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination for serious or repeat violations.
8. Changes to These Guidelines
As the AI filmmaking community evolves, these guidelines may evolve too. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
